You're in the
KidVision Summer Safety Zone!

Summer's almost here, and that means sunny days at the beach, long bike rides and family barbecues.

For kids, summer means learning about how to be safe while having fun! All summer long, tune into Channel 2's KidVision to see kids teaching other kids how to keep themselves -- and their friends -- safe this summer. Whether hard at play or just hanging out, KidVision kids will learn everything they need to know about how to be smart and stay safe.

Kids Are the Stars!

As usual, kids in the South Florida area are the stars of these KidVision spots, which include tips on:

  • avoiding sunburn and dehydration
  • playing it safe at the beach or the pool
  • being a danger-free bike rider, and more!

You can also learn valuable details about what to do in case of a thunderstorm, how to help if a hurricane strikes, and what not to do at the next family cookout.

But even with the best knowledge about avoiding danger, kids need grown-ups' help to stay safe. That's why KidVision has created the Summer Safety Zone web site. On this site kids and adults will find information that complements and expands upon the safety pointers seen on Channel 2's KidVision. We encourage parents, caregivers and children to read this information together and talk about it. Print it out and put it on your refrigerator, or share it with your friends and family members. Make sure everyone knows what being a safe summer kid is all about. If we all work together for safety this summer, nobody will get burned!
